Cases and tickets

The dashboard's Moderation pages let staff search cases, add evidence, review reports, read ticket transcripts, decide appeals and look up members. They are open to staff and admins.

Overview

Opening a server shows its overview: open tickets, cases this week compared with last week, pending reports, pending appeals, log entries today and the member count. Each number links to the matching page. Below that is the bot's live status and when each of its background jobs last ran.

Cases

The Cases page lists every case in the server, newest first.

ColumnShows
#The case number
TypeWarn, timeout, kick, ban, unban, note, purge or report
User, ModeratorWho it was about and who made it. For reports: the reported member and the reporter

Filters

  • Type: one case type.
  • Report status: pending, valid or dismissed.
  • State: active or inactive.
  • User id and Moderator id: paste a Discord user ID.
  • Search: a case number such as #12, or words from the reason.

The case page

Click a case to open it. It shows the details (member, moderator, duration and expiry for timed actions, when it was made, the linked ticket), the reason, the full Edit history of the reason with each before and after, and the evidence.

Editing a reason

Change the text under Reason and press Save reason (up to 1000 characters). Only the moderator who made the case, or someone with Manage Server, can edit it. The edit is posted to the mod log with the previous and new reason, the same as /reason in Discord. See Moderation and cases.

Evidence

The Evidence card holds files and links for a case:

  • Files: up to 3 at a time, 8 MB each. PNG, JPEG, GIF, WebP, MP4, TXT or PDF.
  • Links: a full http:// or https:// link, with an optional label.
  • Up to 10 pieces of evidence per case.

Files are posted in your mod log channel as an "evidence added" message, so you need a mod log channel first, and the bot needs Attach Files and Read Message History there. Removing a file also deletes that message. The same people who can edit the reason can add or remove evidence.

Files attached to a report by the reporter are listed separately under Report files. They were posted in the report ticket or the mod log.

Reviewing reports

A pending report's case page has Mark valid and Dismiss buttons. Your choice updates the report card in Discord and can't be undone. You need Moderate Members, and you can't review a report you filed or one about you. See Reports.

Users

The Users page opens a member's profile from their Discord user ID. Every name on the dashboard also links to its profile.

A profile shows:

  • Whether they are currently banned, with a link to the ban case.
  • Their name, username, ID, when their account was created, whether they are in the server, any active timeout and their roles.
  • Case counts in total and by type, and the valid reports against them.
  • Their cases and their most recent tickets.

Tickets

The Tickets page lists tickets newest first, with their status, priority, category, who opened and claimed them, when they were created, their last activity and their rating.

Filter by Status, Category, Opener id, Claimer id, or Search for a ticket number or close reason.

The ticket page

Click a ticket to see:

  • Details: status, priority, category, opener, claimer, channel, created and last activity.
  • Closing: when and by whom, the reason, the rating and the transcript.
  • Form answers from when the ticket was opened.
  • Linked cases, such as the case for a report ticket.

Transcripts

For a closed ticket, Open transcript shows it in your browser, Download saves the file and Discord message jumps to it in your transcript channel. The dashboard reads the transcript from that Discord message, so it shows "Not posted" when there is no transcript channel, and stops working if the message is deleted.

Appeals

The Appeals page shows ban appeals, with tabs for pending, accepted, denied and all. Pending is the default.

Each appeal shows the member, the ban case, when it was filed and the appeal text. Pending appeals have Accept and Deny buttons, each with an optional note (up to 500 characters) that is sent to the member. Decided appeals show who decided, when, and the note.

Deciding needs Ban Members. Staff without it see the appeals but no Accept or Deny buttons. See Ban appeals.

Logs and history

  • Logs: every log entry the bot posted. See Logs.
  • History: every settings change, with undo. Admins only. See Server settings.
