Dashboard / Server settings

Server settings

Everything you can set with /setup can also be set on the dashboard, plus stream alert defaults. This page is for server admins.

Who can change settings

The Settings pages and the History page are only for admins: members with Manage Server or Administrator. Staff see "Admins only" if they open them.

Changes on the dashboard go through the same checks as /setup, and each one is posted to the mod log as a Setup changed entry marked "(via dashboard)".

Settings pages

Open a server, then Settings in the sidebar. There are seven sections.

Channels

The Ticket log (posts when a ticket is opened, claimed or closed) and Transcripts (the transcript of each closed ticket).

Roles

  • Ticket staff roles: can see and claim tickets and handle them.
  • Ticket admin roles: everything staff can do, plus taking over, unclaiming or closing a ticket someone else claimed.
  • Auto roles: given to every new member. Roles with moderation or admin permissions are refused, and the bot's role must sit above them.

Up to 10 staff or admin roles, and up to 5 auto roles.

Tickets

  • Ticket categories: add, edit or delete categories. Each has a name, emoji, description, Discord category, cooldown (0 to 10,080 minutes), max open per member (1 to 10), staff roles and up to 5 form questions.
  • Ticket panels: Send a panel to a channel, with an optional title (up to 100 characters) and description (up to 1000 characters).
  • Inactivity auto-close: close after 1 to 720 hours, and when to warn before.
  • Reports category: which ticket category report tickets open in.

A category that has ever had a ticket can't be deleted. See Tickets.

Welcome

Tabs for Join, DM and Leave. Each has Enabled, Show time in the footer, Ping the member (join only), the channel (join and leave), and every part of the embed: message, title, colour, description, author name and icon, thumbnail, image, and footer text and icon. The placeholder list is shown on the page.

Press Preview to see the message as it would look. Previewing doesn't save. Reset to default brings the bot's default template back, turned off. The Ignore bots switch is here too. See Welcome messages.

Moderation & logs

Mod log, Message log, Message log ignores, Weekly summary and Store message text. See Logs.

Stream alerts

  • Defaults: the default channel and ping role for every alert that doesn't set its own. These can only be set here.
  • The list of alerts, with Edit, Pause or Resume, and Delete.
  • Add alert: platform, creator, channel, ping role, what to alert on and a custom message. The bot looks the creator up when you save.

See Stream alerts.

Appeals

Allow ban appeals and the Appeal channel. See Ban appeals.

Settings history

The History page lists every settings change, newest first, whether it was made with /setup, /alerts or the dashboard. Each row shows:

  • When, and whether it came from the Bot or the Dashboard.
  • Who made it.
  • A summary, and what the value was before and after.

Filter by Area: Server settings, Welcome messages, Ticket categories, Ticket panels or Stream alerts.

Undo

Press Undo on a change to put the old value back. The dashboard shows what will be restored and asks you to confirm.

  • The undo runs through the normal checks. If the old value isn't valid any more, for example because a role was deleted, the undo is refused with the reason.
  • The undo is saved as a new change, so it shows up in the history too. The original row then shows "Undone by" with who undid it and when.
  • Undoing a deleted ticket category or stream alert creates it again. Undoing a new one deletes it.

What can't be undone

  • Sending a ticket panel. The row shows "Cannot undo". Delete the panel message in Discord instead.
  • A change that was already undone. Make the change again, or undo the undo.
  • Stored log entries. Undoing Store message text turns storage back on, but the entries deleted when it was turned off don't come back.

Undo restores settings only. It doesn't touch cases, tickets, appeals or messages the bot already posted.
